Tommy Fredrickson attended Fresno State University as a Smittcamp Family Honors College Scholar, graduating in 2011 with a B.A. in Music Education and a Minor in Mathematics. He taught music and math in Chowchilla and Ojai and earned his M.A. in Music Education from San Jose State before returning to the Central Valley to teach in Clovis Unified.

Tommy has performed extensively as a trombonist in the Central Coast and Central Valley regions. He currently plays trombone in the Fresno Jazz Composers Orchestra. He lives in Clovis with his wife Shelby and daughters Theodora and Eleanor.
